In Massa Lubrense, everything is ready for one of the most anticipated events of the year: La Tavola dei 300, an event that celebrates the region through gastronomy, conviviality, and the discovery of historic villages. Following the success of the first edition, this year’s event expands with an even richer program, designed to offer authentic experiences set against the backdrop of the sea, the hills, and signature dishes.
Singer Monica Sarnelli is the ambassador for the second edition of La Tavola dei 300, the culinary festival organized by the Lubrensi Restaurateurs Association.
The second edition will span several days, beginning on May 8 with a press conference at Palazzo Raja. On this occasion, participants will have the chance to visit a local nursery to immerse themselves in the scents and colors of the native varieties of the Sorrento Peninsula: lemons, oranges, olive trees, vegetables, and flowers. The venue, the splendid setting of Palazzo Raja, is a prestigious residence with an adjoining lush citrus orchard overlooking the Gulf of Naples, owned by Captain Aniello Mastellone. In addition to singer and event ambassador Monica Sarnelli, the press conference will be attended by Deputy Mayor Giovanna Staiano, President Francesco Gargiulo, and other institutional representatives.
Promotion of the event will continue over the weekend of June 14 and 15 with guided tours and hiking trails through lemon groves and olive groves, organized in collaboration with the company By Tourist. The excursions, which require reservations, will depart from Massa Centro and pass through hamlets such as Termini, San Francesco, and Schiazzano. During these tours, visitors will have the opportunity to discover local cultivars, participate in limoncello and jam tastings courtesy of the agritourism farms Il Convento and Il Giardino di Vigliano, and learn more about the production techniques of DOP olive oil with the brand Le Colline Lubrensi. The days will conclude with a Pizza Class at the pizzeria Da Francesco and a lunch featuring pairings with local olive oils.
The heart of the festival will beat from June 18 to 20, coinciding with the summer solstice—a symbolic reawakening of nature that makes the atmosphere even more magical between Punta Campanella, the Marine Protected Area, and the peaks of Monte San Costanzo.
• On June 18, in the hamlet of Monticchio, street food will liven up the evening with food stands and live music. During the evening, two icons of culinary excellence will be honored: the Relais Blu, a 4-star boutique hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant in Marciano-Termini, and the Taverna del Capitano in Marina del Cantone, recognized for their commitment to promoting local gastronomic culture that blends innovation and tradition.
• June 19 will mark the official opening of the event at Largo Vescovado, a public event that will kick off the walking dinner along the main street of Massa Centro—the new location chosen for 2025, following the 2024 edition held in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi. The dinner will feature singer Monica Sarnelli, the event’s patron and spokesperson, who will perform before and after the meal, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere. The evening will also serve as an opportunity to celebrate the award ceremony honoring the Mellino family, owners of the Quattro Passi restaurant in Nerano, which was recently awarded its prestigious third Michelin star—a rare and extraordinary achievement for the Sorrento Peninsula.
• June 20 will begin with an evocative experience by sea: journalists and influencers will visit Massa Lubrense, sailing between Marina del Cantone and Marina di Puolo, where they will be welcomed with a lunch featuring fresh seafood and traditional local dishes. In the evening, starting at 7:30 p.m., the highly anticipated “Dinner of the 300” will take place, with a welcome aperitif at the Hotel Delle Palme. The evening’s special guests will be internationally renowned master pizza makers Enzo Coccia and Pasqualino Rossi, joined by the Michelin-starred chefs from Taverna del Capitano and Relais Blu, ready to surprise guests with top-tier culinary creations.
The evening’s menu, served at a 300-seat table set up in the heart of Sant’Agata, will be prepared by over 60 local restaurants: Tutt’Appost, Le Sirene, I Giardini di Vigliano, La Primavera, La Tavernetta, Antico Francischiello, Da Peppino, Don Vito, Villa Rena, Lo Stuzzichino, Maria Grazia, Capuozzo, La Torre, El Gringo Pub, Pasta E…, Il Vespro, Salvatore e Mafalda, among others, to showcase the authentic flavors of the villages. Desserts will be provided by Roxy Bar and Pasticceria Fiorentino.
After dinner, the festivities will move to the square adjacent to the Church of Sant’Agata, where the highlight will be artisanal sorbets offered by Sweet Costiera, Gelateria del Corso, and Ikigai, accompanied by music and a final toast hosted by the Iaccarino family of Don Alfonso 1890, who will present a culinary surprise dedicated to the lemons of Massa Lubrense.
The event will conclude with a symbolic moment: the donation of 2,000 euros by the Lubrensi Restaurateurs Association to the “Multimedia Room for Video Consultations” project at the Santobono Regional Pediatric Burn Center, thereby underscoring the strong link between culinary excellence and social responsibility.
The initiative was launched with the aim of promoting the cultural and culinary identity of the 18 villages that make up the municipality of Massa Lubrense: Acquara, Annunziata, Casa, Marciano, Marina della Lobra, Marina del Cantone, Marina di Puolo, Massa Centro, Metrano, Monticchio, Nerano, Pastena, San Francesco, Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, Schiazzano, Termini, Torca, and Villazzano. A mosaic of picturesque villages offering a unique setting for a food and wine journey that spans both land and sea, set against a landscape of extraordinary beauty.
Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Massa Lubrense and a network of over 60 member businesses, including Villa Sandi, Gidal, Federalberghi Penisola Sorrentina, AIS Campania, Barone Pizzini, Acqua Panna, Frantoio Gargiulo, Caseificio Due Golfi, Marisa Cuomo, Mulino Caputo, Sannio Consorzio Vini, Le Colline Lubrensi, and many others, La Tavola dei 300 stands as a model of successful regional marketing, under the technical direction of David Aiello.
One of the most charming destinations in the region, part of the network of accommodations and hospitality venues supporting the event, is Villa Coralia, a true gem nestled in the hills of the Sorrento Peninsula. More than just a charming place to stay, Villa Coralia is a true oasis of tranquility and nature, surrounded by citrus groves and olive groves, just minutes from the sea yet far from the hustle and bustle. The villa is renowned for its refined yet family-style hospitality, its attention to detail, and the locally sourced culinary experiences it offers its guests—often in collaboration with local producers and chefs. Villa Coralia serves as a meeting point where rural culture, the landscape, and the authentic flavors of the Amalfi Coast converge.
Villa Coralia and the entire event invite you to experience firsthand this journey through local flavors and history, in a setting as unique as the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area, among award-winning beaches and enchanting landscapes. An unmissable opportunity to rediscover the value of hospitality, authentic cuisine, and Italian beauty—at the table and beyond.
